- The New York Times released a bombshell report that revealed Hamas has spied on Palestinians for years through its secret police force known as the General Security Service. This revelation comes as Israeli forces continue their offensive in Gaza, reclaiming territory in the north while pushing deeper into Rafah. In the US, protests over the war extended to college graduation ceremonies including Duke’s which saw graduates walk out of the commencement led by pro-Israel comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
- Michael Cohen testified in Donald Trump’s hush money scandal on how the former president ordered him to pay $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. Trump allegedly reimbursed him in five figure monthly payments throughout the following year by falsifying several business records.
- Major U.S. airline companies are suing the Biden administration over new rules instructing airlines to disclose “junk fees” upfront. The lawsuit, submitted by Delta, United, and several other prominent US airlines, claims the new rules are arbitrary and unlawful. In response, the Department of Transportation stated that it would fight tirelessly to defend the new rules and protect travelers from hidden, last-minute fees.
