Gabe Cherniss

Gabe Cherniss is from Charlotte, NC, and is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying Political Science. Gabe joined the Current2 team in the Spring of 2023 and is the voice of our flagship Current2 and several C2 Columns. Outside of Current2, Gabe is the captain of the UNC Collegiate Dream Team, a part of the Charlotte-based non-profit organization Dream On 3. He is also the President of NextGen America at UNC, working hard to register students on his campus to vote and keep them informed of upcoming important election dates and deadlines. During his free time, Gabe loves to go to the gym, play video games with his friends and listen to music from artists such as Billy Joel, Journey, Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and more.
