- Several developments today in regards to campus protests, with over 2,000 students now arrested, including more than 200 at UCLA. Many protests have devolved into violence, with clashes between protestors, counter-protestors, and police becoming more frequent. Additionally, President Biden gave his most extensive remarks yet, saying both free speech and order must be protected.
- Donald Trump allegedly violated his gag order again after being held in contempt of court on Tuesday for 9 previous violations. The judge imposed a fine of 1,000 dollars per infraction and warned that Trump could be jailed if he is convicted of the new allegations. At the same time, his lawyer claimed that the hush money payment was actually extorted from him by Stormy Daniels’ lawyer.
- A Pennsylvania nurse was sentenced to 760 years behind bars after pleading guilty to 3 murders and 19 attempted murders across her career. Between 2020 and 2023, she knowingly administered lethal doses of insulin to patients at five different health facilities across 4 counties. Despite only being charged with 3 murders, she played a role in the deaths of 17 people.
