In Must Know News:
- Actor Bob Newhart, the deadpan comic famous for The Bob Newhart Show and Elf, passed away yesterday at the age of 94 from natural causes. Newhart charmed fans with his iconic stutter and mastery of comedy through decades of sitcoms and stand-up. After winning his first and long-overdue Emmy award for his guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory, Newhart said in an interview that he didn’t have any troubling moments of his career, as he has ‘lived in an incredible time.’ Thank you for everything, Papa Elf.
- All hope seems to be lost for Biden as it was revealed that Barack Obama stated in private that he is unsure if Biden has what it takes to win the 2024 election. Along with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the high ranking democrats agreed that his debate performance was lackluster, and with Trump coming off of a failed assassination attempt that rallied his supporters, it isn’t looking good for Biden. Speaking of Trump, he accepted the Republican presidential nomination last night with a personal and heartfelt speech.
- An Illinois deputy has been charged with 3 counts of first-degree murder for killing a 36 year-old black woman in her own home in response to a 911 call where she feared there was an intruder in her home. Bodycam footage showed he entered the home of Sonya Massey on July 6th, and when Massey went to move a pot of water off of her stove, Greyson yelled and pulled out his weapon, causing Massey to raise her arms and apologize. Greyson then shot her in the head and told his partner not to perform medical aid.

- A Nevada judge was federally charged for pocketing charity funds meant to honor fallen officers. Pray tell, what did the accused Michele Fiore use the money for? To pay for her daughter’s wedding. Seriously, with a law degree, there’s gotta be a better way to come up with cash.
- Fandango founder J. Michael Cline died Tuesday after falling to his death from a New York City hotel in what’s been ruled a suicide. Cline was 64 years old at the time of his death, and survived by his six children.
