In Must Know News:
- Leading up to their much anticipated debate, poll percentages in essential swing states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin show very narrow margins between Trump and Harris. Trump leads with voters who feel they are not better off following the pandemic, whereas Harris leads with her middle-class economic plans. In a race as tight as this, the debate might just answer some of these questions, as long as those questions are actually answered…
- According to Annie Brown, aunt of the Georgia high school shooting suspect Colt Grey, Grey’s mother reportedly called the school before the shooting with a warning of an ‘extreme emergency’ involving her son. Brown sent screenshots of a text conversation between her and her sister where she admitted speaking with the school counselor to urge them to immediately find her son, and call logs confirmed the conversation took place just 30 minutes before the shooting.
- Kentucky authorities are conducting a manhunt for Joseph A. Couch, an armed and dangerous suspect in a mass shooting on Interstate 75 that injured five people. Couch’s vehicle, an AR-15, and other evidence was found near the scene, and Couch is believed to be hiding in nearby woods. Luckily, all victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
- Israel has closed off all border crossings with the county of Jordan after three border guards were killed at King Hussein Bridge border crossing by an armed man in a truck Sunday morning. According to the Israeli military, the attacker arrived at the crossing from an adjoining town in Jordan before opening fire, and the assailant has since been eliminated.
- Finally, the office of former President George W. Bush announced that the president will not be formally endorsing any candidate in the 2024 presidential race. Bush’s silence stands in contrast to several Republicans’ crossing of party lines to support Vice President Kamala Harris, including his former VP Dick Cheney. Cheney voting Democrat: now I’ve seen everything.
