This action is part of a broader wave of unrest across U.S. colleges, where protests have prompted police intervention and disruptions to academic schedules.
- New York's highest court overturned Harvey Weinstein's 2020 rape and sexual assault conviction, ruling that trial judge errors, such as allowing testimony from women whose allegations were not part of the original charges, created prejudice. Despite this, Weinstein remains imprisoned for 16 years from a separate California rape conviction, while his attorneys are appealing both cases.
