In Must Know News:

  • According to multiple sources, RFK Jr. is planning to put an end to his independent candidacy campaign and endorse Donald Trump. There is still ongoing talks about the final plan, but a solidified decision is projected to be reached by the end of the week, effectively ending the top third party candidacy’s potential.
  • Ukraine launched 11 drones into Moscow on Wednesday in a coordinated attack in the Russian capital. Russia shot down the drones, and according to officials, a total of 45 drones were shot down overnight. No damage or casualties have been reported.
  • During the third night of the Democratic National Convention, over 2,000 pro-Palestine protesters marched in Chicago on Wednesday. The protesters marched by a park where a pro-Israel demonstration had taken place earlier and marched to where the convention was being held. The march remained mostly peaceful, and occurred just a day after police clashed with protesters in an unsanctioned protest, leading to over 50 arrests.
  • In his first outdoor campaign event since the assassination attempt last month, former President Donald Trump shot back at the Obamas’ criticism of him on the second night of the Democratic National Convention, saying their “personal” attacks justified his own. Trump stood behind bulletproof glass at the campaign event in North Carolina, the new norm since, well, you know…
  • In a phone call with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Wednesday, President Biden stressed the need for an urgent ceasefire-for-hostages deal with Hamas in Gaza, calling this week’s upcoming talks in Cairo essential toward ensuring a truce in the region; the pair also discussed the U.S’s role in supporting Israel “against all threats from Iran, including…Hezbollah and the Houthis,” according to a statement from the White House.
