- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is currently missing after the helicopter carrying him and the Iranian Foreign Minister crashed Sunday in northern Iran. At least 40 rescue teams were deployed last night in search of the chopper, and fears of the dropping evening temperatures are only adding to the pressure.
- The US has deployed a convoy of trucks carrying food and water across the newly built pier into the Gaza Strip. As Israel continues to push into Rafah, this will mark the first step in the new aid plan introduced by the US to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In other news, Israeli officials announced that the bodies of three Israeli hostages who fled the Nova Music Festival on October 7th were seized from Gaza, believed to be murdered by Hamas.
- and French police shot and killed an armed Algerian man who was suspected of setting fire to a synagogue in the city of Rouen on Friday. Officials announced that this was “clearly” an antisemetic attack and Jewish leaders are infuriated over the mounting number of attacks springing from the Israel-Hamas conflict.

- David DePape, the man who attacked Nancy Pelosi’s husband in October 2022, was sentenced to 30 years in prison this Friday. At the time of the attack, DePape had been caught on police body cam footage “bludgeoning” the 82-year old with a hammer.
- An Amtrak train in western New York collided with a pickup truck and killed its three passengers this weekend. The train was on course from New York to Niagara Falls when the collision occurred, with its 21 passengers and crew members reportedly suffering no injuries.
