35 killed, including Hamas militants in Israeli strike (BBC, Reuters)  

35 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a U.N. school in Gaza. approximately 20-30 of the people killed were members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters, according to Israeli intelligence. No prior warning was issued to the UN or the people living within the building.

L.I. killer suspect Rex Heuermann charged on 2 more murders (CBS, AP)    

Rex Heuermann, the man accused of murdering multiple women and leaving their remains on Long Island’s Gilgo beach, was charged with killing two additional women, Sandra Costilla and Jessica Taylor. The new charges come after police searched his property and matched DNA found on the bodies to Heuermann. Additionally, prosecutors found a hard drive with a series of checklists and reminders used to organize the killings.

Hallie Biden testifies in Hunter Biden gun trial (NBC, CNN

The spotlight on day 4 of the Hunter Biden gun trial was his former partner and Beau’s widow, Hallie Biden. She disposed of the gun at the heart of the case, detailing her drug use, which was heavily influenced by Hunter Biden. Hallie spoke about why she disposed of the gun, though couldn’t remember many details surrounding the incident. The court also heard from the man who sold Hunter Biden the gun, as well as the one who found it in the trash.

Steve Bannon ordered to report to prison (CNN)

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon was ordered by a federal judge to report to prison by July 1st for his contempt of Congress conviction in 2022. After multiple appeals and challenges, this decision to put Bannon behind bars leaves only a small window to seek intervention from a higher court.  

Boeing Starliner docks with ISS after thruster issues (NBC)

Boeing can’t seem to catch a break as its Starliner spacecraft experienced issues with five of its 28 thrusters during its maiden voyage to the International Space Station. An earlier landing was set for 12:15 PM EST, but luckily the problem was handled and the crew docked safely at 1:34 PM yesterday. 

DOJ, FTC to probe MS, OpenAI, and Nvidia over antitrust violations (Reuters)  

The US Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission agreed to a deal that would open up investigations into Microsoft, OpenAI, and Nvidia regarding their roles in potential antitrust violations in the artificial intelligence industry.

KC Chiefs’ B.J. Thompson suffers cardiac event (AP)

Kansas City Chiefs’ backup lineman B.J. Thompson was taken to the hospital on Thursday after experiencing a cardiac event during a team meeting. Thompson is in stable condition, but there is currently no word regarding his recovery.
