A New Battle Tactic?

Summary

Israel is facing a new battlefield tactic involving long-range strikes that breach the Iron Dome, its top missile defense system. These strikes, executed by Hezbollah, are penetrating deep into Israeli territory. Despite not achieving a 100% success rate, even one successful strike past the Iron Dome is concerning for Israel. Hezbollah, backed by Iran, has been increasing the range of their attacks, reaching as far as 60 kilometers into Israeli territory, and targeting civilian and military infrastructure. In response, Israel has been striking deeper into Lebanese territory to counter Hezbollah's advances.

For those who read...

The country of Israel is officially facing a new battlefield tactic that is not really that unique to the 21st century battlefield. But as far as Israel is concerned, it is very unique to them. What I'm talking about are long range strikes that are breaching what is known as the iron dome. Israel's top and premier missile defense system and these strikes are striking deep into Israeli territory. Now, the faction who is able to complete such strikes are known as Hezbollah and although their strikes are not at a 100% success rate in Israeli eyes, even just getting one strike past the iron dome and deep into Israeli territory is not a good sign.

Now, essentially this is what's happening. Hezbollah who are loyal to Iran. They get the green light, they get the training, they get the equipment and they get told when and how to strike into Israeli territory. All of a sudden we are starting to see strikes go past the 30 kilometer mark into the 60 kilometer mark. And the reason why these numbers are very significant and important is because Israel along the northern Lebanese border have evacuated all of its citizens and pushed them back around the 30 to 60 kilometer mark. Hezbollah knows this, the world knows this. And Hezbollah wants Israel to know they can still strike deep into Israeli territory and go after civilian infrastructure and military infrastructure and not only isolate their attacks on the northern border now around October 7th, this is when Hezbollah decided we are going to stand hand in hand with Hamas. October 7th is when Hamas went into Israeli territory and did what they did. Hezbollah also being loyal to Iran, such as Hamas says, they were given the green light by Iran. Let us start to strike into Israeli territory. However, 5000 of the strikes by Hezbollah in 2023 from October 7th was usually or near the three kilometer mark, two kilometer mark and they were just sort of going for what they could go for, going after military targets, going after a building, maybe a gas station. But Hezbollah is realizing if they really want to do something effective, let's go deep into Israeli territory. Let's not go after the random compound. Let's not go after the car. We want to strike deep into Israeli territory and they've been doing it with some success again, even getting reconnaissance drones over in a Israeli fuel depot, 30 kilometers into Israeli territory. We're leasing the footage on the internet and letting the world know we are not only going after border territories, we can also strike deep into Israeli territory. Now, Israel is being a little secretive about all of this. They're not really talking about how they can stop these attacks. But what Israel is doing is a striking even deeper and deeper and deeper into Lebanese territory to also let Hezbollah know we can strike further than you.

So currently, we have this new situation of who can strike deeper than who Israel currently does have a strike about 100 kilometers into Lebanese territory. And Hezbollah sitting around the 30 ish, possibly the 60 ish kilometer mark as far as who can strike deeper. This is a brand new issue for Israel and they still are trying to figure out what exactly to do to stop. 100% of these attacks from Hezbollah deep into Israeli territory.
